2.3.4 Promote the good work happening in Bruce County by speaking at conferences, through delegations with other levels of government and being recognized through awards.
While no specific activities occurred in Q2 related to promoting Bruce County’s work through conferences, delegations, or awards, internal discussions have highlighted the need for a more structured approach to capturing and communicating these efforts. There is growing recognition that many departments are engaging in meaningful external representation, but these contributions are not consistently tracked or shared. This quarter has focused on identifying this gap and exploring options for a centralized channel to better showcase these initiatives moving forward.
This quarter preparation started for the AMO conference. Staff also worked with a number of other industry associations to find opportunities to promote the good work happening in Bruce County.
Staff are reaching out to AMO organizers to see about opportunities at the upcoming conference, planning is occurring for support of a Bluewater District School Board Presentation. The Community Development Office was featured on a panel regarding housing at the ROMA conference in Q1
