4.1.4 Support the implementation of the economic development strategic plan resulting in: Diversification of economic base (growth of businesses in sectors outside of agriculture, energy, and tourism)

Q2 saw the finalization and implementation of the 2026-2029 Business to Bruce Provincial Agreement, ensuring continued delivery of Small Business Enterprise Centre services throughout the region. As part of the enhanced service offering under the new agreement staff are receiving training to deliver business succession planning services for existing business owners.

Additionally, marketing and outreach efforts continued to strengthen awareness of available supports and connect with entrepreneurs and business owners across diverse economic sectors.

Marketing and engagement activities will continue with an increased focus on promoting business supports, succession planning services, training opportunities, and resources that encourage growth in sectors beyond agriculture, energy, and tourism.
