4.4.4 Increase external sources of revenue and reduce reliance on property taxes.
With the introduction of Development Charges in 2024 the County has a reliable funding source for growth-related expenses such as capital costs, long-term debt and forward looking plans and studies. This will reduce the reliance on the tax base.
